Apart from this, it is possible to solve this problem domestically. This will require tea tree essential oil and any carrier oil. It can be coconut oil, olive oil or peanut oil. Mix one or two tablespoons with five or six drops of tea tree oil and apply on the scalp for 30 minutes. Then wash with shampoo. Use two to three days a week for best results.
Aloe vera gel can be applied on the scalp. It contains antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, which will help keep the scalp healthy. This will reduce the tendency of the scalp to smell bad.
